Aeration and Overseeding

Once per year during the fall season we will provide core aeration and seeding. Aeration relieves soil compaction and increases the availability of air, water, and nutrients. Also, aeration minimizes thatch buildup. Over-seeding (at rates recommended by the manufacturer) with our custom blend of certified seed will help establish a thick, healthy lawn. LEARN MORE

Bed Maintenance

The Contractor shall provide maintenance of all plant beds continuously
throughout the contract period, including front and back yard beds being kept free and clear of all weeds.

Blowing

The Contractor shall ensure all sidewalks, curbs, driveways and ground level patios are blown free of clippings after each mowing.

Cleanup

The Contractor shall remove all debris associated with the lawn maintenance during each visit.

Dethatching

When bits and pieces of grass, or thatch, build up too fast for natural processes to break them down, a barrier is formed, keeping moisture and air from penetrating. With aeration plugs of soil will be removed and spread over the lawn adding nutrients back into the soil. LEARN MORE

Edging

All sidewalks and curbs, to include driveways and ground level patios, shall be edged. Hard edging uses a  mechanical metal blade edger while Soft Edging using a String Trimmer. LEARN MORE

Fertilizer

We offer traditional and organic lawn fertilizer. Both options provide yards with the appropriate vitamins and minerals for optimal growth, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium to create proteins and sugars for energy and sulfur, calcium and magnesium to stay healthy. LEARN MORE

Seasonal color beds are used to draw attention to entryways of property, highlight sign areas or enhance views through the landscape. There are two seasons in Washington for annual flowers. Summer annuals are installed in May through September. Winter annuals are installed in October through April. We will design a planting that works well in your property’s conditions.

Lime applications are recommended for soil that is more acidic than the desired pH of a lawn soil. Our crew can offer soil testing to identify the pH of your lawn and determine the need for lime application. The recommended rate of lime application is based on the current soil pH level. In cases of acidic soil, a proper lime application can help promote healthy turf growth.  LEARN MORE

Lime Application

Prior to mowing, the turf areas will be policed for trash, animal droppings, tree limbs or obstructions. Turf will be completely and evenly mowed at a height most suitable for the species and the site’s specific needs. In areas we cannot reach with a lawn mower, we will string trim the turf to the height of adjacent turf. Mowing outside of the normal operating season will only be conducted if necessary tomaintain a well-manicured appearance.
